ISO Publication - The Economic benefits of standards
Our QMS templates helped many businesses achieve certification in 2021, why not yours in 2022?
ISO is continually helping businesses, both small and large, cut expenses, increase productivity, and offers the ability to access new markets.
ISO includes a range of different “families” that specialize in different areas.
The IS0 9000 family, for example, helps these businesses and organizations have a layout on how to care for the needs of their consumer base while making sure all requirements, both statutory and regulatory, are in place.
One of the most reassuring aspects that ISO 9001 offers is the sheer amount of companies using the platform. Over 1 million companies/organizations are currently using the system, which makes it one of the largest on the planet.
With a system that has so many users all across the world, it ensures anyone that is new into the field that they will find success in ISO 9001. Also, it ensures that any issues that may arise during use will be taken care of properly, considering it is one of the top systems around.
The ISO 9001 system has also proven to offer financial gain as well, with nearly half of the consumer base winning new business through it. With that rate, they were certified clients as well. This type of success rate is superior to other systems that are currently available.
Not much else to say in terms of financial gain, but it is always the goal for companies, and nearly half of them are seeing new business with the ISO system.
Besides just financial gain, many businesses and organizations see improved performances in their operations. This is oftentimes directly linked with the financial success that is provided as well.
There are many factors that have been attributed to the system's success. Some of these include:
One of the great things also about ISO 9001 is its ability to be flexible for any business size. So, whether you are just starting up or are an established name in your respected field, ISO’s system can certainly be of help.
Having the ISO 9001 system attached to your company’s image gives it an additional benefit to its name. ISO is recognized worldwide as one of the global leaders and will be recognized by many and respected.
This will let both partners and customers know that you are truly invested in providing ultimate customer care and growing your organization at a consistent pace with long-term goals.

Within the ISO 9000 series is a set of quality management principles, otherwise known as QMP. These principles are the recipe to success for ISO and all of the systems they currently provide. These principles are:
Focusing on the customer should be first and foremost for any system. Customers are what allow for a company to operate, so it is crucial that they are given what they are needing and more. Going above and beyond what they expect is what will keep customers around for a long period of time.
Also, as I just mentioned, bringing customers back is what helps develop a company for the long-term.
With leadership, you establish a sense of guidance and organization within the company. Leadership is also important to generate new ideas, improve productivity, and plan for the future.
Keeping the consumers involved with the system is important, as they should be aware of everything that is involved. This will also give customers the feeling of knowing they matter to the company by being kept in the loop.
This can even apply to your employees as well. Employees deserve and need to be valued just as much as your customer’s because they are equally important to your organization’s overall success.
Finally, this is a great way to have customers learn about new services and improvements in systems as well.
With a process comes proper organization. This is a crucial aspect to keep companies on task and clearly meet their objectives.
Constant improvement is the goal of any company, no matter the type. With improvement, you’ll find more customer satisfaction, more sales/profit, and overall, more growth throughout the organization.
Before a decision is made, the reasoning behind it should be verified. Verification usually comes in many forms, such as data and gathered information.
Keeping relationships positive with customers and outside resources is a constant priority for companies. It is important to ensure all parties that are worked with are pleased with what they are receiving, as well as they have the proper benefits, whatever they may be.
Everyone and anyone in business would benefit from ISO. With over one million organizations currently using the ISO 9001 system in over 190 countries, its safe to say it will give you the opportunity become more successful.
There are countless reasons why ISO 9001 is a great choice to implement in your organization. It offers many benefits to your business and has documented success in both improving finances and customer satisfaction.
